Setelah XPERIA X1 yang menjadi leader generasi multimedia Sony Ericsson, vendor Jepang-Swedia ini kembali merilis versi lanjutannya yang diklaim memiliki fasilitas paling gress di kelas Windows Mobile smartphone.

Tengok saja, OS yang ditawarkan XPERIA X2 sudah mengadopsi Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, dengan prosesor Qualcomm MSM 7200, 528 MHz. Untuk kategori smartphone, versi sistem operasi ini terbilang baru digunakan.

Sebagai seri multimedia, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 dibekali sederet fitur hiburan terbaik di kelasnya. Sebut saja kemampuan player bawaan dalam memainkan format XviD. Kamera 8 megapiksel yang disertai kemampuan autofokus, face detection, image stabilizer, Smart Contrast serta mendukung fitur camcorder yang bisa membuat klip film beresolusi WVGA, dengan speed 30fps.

Untuk mendukung kemampuan office, XPERIA X2 ditopang network HSDPA yang bisa melaju dengan kecepatan data hingga 7.2 Mbps, serta untuk upload (HSUPA) mencapai 2 Mbps.
