iPhone vs Nexus One vs Palm Pre vs Droid

On the heels of Google's (GOOG) release of the HTC Nexus One - popularly known as the Google phone - the people in BillShrink has done us all the help.

They already took out one of their handy chart comparing the specifications and the total cost of ownership of four popular smartphones:

* Apple's (AAPL) iPhone AT & T (T)
* Palm (PALM) Pre on Sprint's (S)
* Motorola (MOT) Droid on Verizon (VZ)
* HTC Nexus One on T-Mobile (DT).

The chart is not perfect. Tend to emphasize the quality specifications and costs for the availability of services or applications.

And there seems to be a small mistake in the numbers. The iPhone, for example, has more than 100,000, 127,600 or 128,900 is available apps, depending on which measure you use, not like the tables have 93,200.

But the people at BillShrink responsive enough, and if you show mistakes, they might fix it.

The bottom line: if you ignore the "unlimited" plan (and everyone we know not), the total cost of ownership after two years is not much different.
$ 2839 iPhone
Pre 2309 U.S. dollars
Droid $ 2839
Transportation A $ 2339
