Meski menawarkan konsep ramah lingkungan, tak berarti ponsel ini minim persenjataan. Tengok saja berbagai fitur hiburan yang juga dibenamkan dalam ponsel ini. Pengguna bakal menemukan berbagai fitur multimedia seperti dari kamera, pemutar musik hingga radio FM dan game-game menarik..

Vendor menyisipkan kamera berkekuatan 2 megapiksel untuk menunjang kemampuan fotografi Sony Ericsson Naite. Sayangnya, tanpa dukungan fitur autofokus dan lampu flash tak banyak yang bisa diperbuat khususnya dalam memperoleh foto indoor yang optimal. Viewfinder ponsel ini pun cenderung sempit sehingga area tangkapan lebih kecil.

Untuk mendukung browsing, Sony Ericsson Naite menyediakan menyediakan browser standar. Tapi dari segi performa masih belum bisa menandingi aplikasi pihak ketiga seperti OperaMini ataupun Ucweb.

Material casing ponsel ini tak terlalu mengecewakan karena mutu plastik yang digunakan relatif berkualitas. Hanya saja, slot memorinya terletak di dalam ponsel, jadi harus membuka casing belakang jika ingin menyisipkannya.

Tak ada setumpuk aplikasi khas ponsel cerdas seperti yang ada di X1. Pureness yang memiliki kode X5 ini hanya punya fitur standar. Bahkan tak punya kamera, meskipun bisa digunakan untuk melihat picture hasil download. Layarnya pun hanya hitam putih (monochrome). Tapi jangan salah, justru di layar inilah yang jadi pusat perhatian X5. Layarnya transparan, seperti terbuat dari kaca air, yang memungkinkan tampilan layar bisa dilihat dari depan dan belakang (tentu saja dengan posisi tampilan terbalik).

DESAIN

Bentuk dan tampilan ponsel ini sebenarnya simpel saja, sebuah bar yang minimalis. Tapi penuh dengan nuasan futuristik. Konsep desain seperti ini memang salah satu kekuatannya Soner. Dalam keadaan standby, seluruh simbol dan angka di keypad hilang, layarnya juga tak menampilkan apapun. Ini membuatnya seperti paduan sepotong kaca tebal di atas sebuah potongan metal hitam.

LAYAR

Menjadi bagian yang memiliki impresi paling kuat di ponsel ini. X5 menjadi ponsel pertama yang menggunakan layar transparan seperti ini. Namun performanya sendiri kurang memuaskan. Tampilan teks dan ikon menu yang berwarna putih, nampak suram di tempat agak redup, dan tenggelam pada kondisi dengan cahaya cerah. Ini agak kurang nyaman di mata.

KEYPAD

Memiliki desain yang futuristik, dengan ukuran tombol yang besar. Ditambah dengan bahan keypad yang cukup lembut, membuat keypad nyaman saat digunakan. Angka dan huruf pada tombol baru muncul ketika backlight menyala. Ini membuat dalam keadaan standby, keypad nampak seperti potongan plat hitam saja.

PEMUTAR MUSIK

Di sini Soner menunjukkan kekuatannya di aspek musik. Meski bukan dirancang sebagai ponsel musik, dan juga hanya dibekali pemutar musik dengan pengaturan sekadarnya, tetap saja kualitas keluaran suaranya mempesona. Terutama bila didengarkan lewat headset. Pilihan equalizer megabass begitu terasa efek bass-nya. Namun keluaran suara lewat speakernya biasa saja, malah cenderung pecah.

KONEKTIVITAS

Fitur ini termasuk sisi terbaik ponsel ini. Dibekali dengan bluetooth dan kabel data. Kinerja bluetoothnya sangat baik, mampu mentransfer file MP3 sebesar 2 Mb hanya dalam waktu kurang dari 10 detik. Sementara sinkronisasi dengan PC tak membutuhkan proses yang rumit. Fungsinya sebagai modem juga bisa dilakukan lewat bluetooth.

INTERNET

Fitur ini tersimpan di menu entertainmen. Koneksi internetnya didukung jalur pita lebar HSDPA (download) dan HSUPA (upload). Kalau kebetulan sinyal HSDPA tertangkap, koneksi internetnya benar-benar ngebut. Sudah dilengkapi setting otomatis, yang mempermudah pengguna. Yang jadi ganjalan adalah tampilan di layar, yang agak kekecilan serta agak buram.

MEMORI

Tak memiliki slot memori eksternal. Namun kapasitas penyimpanan internalnya sangat besar, 2 Gb. Tentu saja banyak ruang tersisa yang bisa dipakai untuk menyimpan aneka file. Toh, ponsel ini tidak diposisikan sebagai ponsel cerdas yang dituntut mampu menyimpan aneka data-data berukuran besar.

Kinerja

Meskipun tampilannya seperti ringkih, Pureness memiliki kinerja yang bagus. Terutama pada fitur pemutar musik, konektivitas dan internetnya. Pada awalnya, saat start-up, memang sedikit agak lambat. Namun setelah itu, semua berjalan lancar. Kinerjanya sebagai perangkat telepon juga bagus.

Kinerja Baterai

Menurut pihak vendor, dipakai pada jaringan 3G, baterai mampu mendukung pembicaraan selama 3 jam lebih, dengan waktu standby 350 jam. Namun pada pengujian nampaknya ketahanan baterai tidak selama itu. Meskipun aplikasi yang dijalankan tidak terlalu banyak.

NOKIA 2710 Navigation Edition

Setelah sebelumnya ikut meramaikan platform OS Android lewat beberapa garapannya, Motorola kembali merilis satu model paling gress yang dilengkapi sederet fasilitas tangguh: Motorola DROID.
